Ms. Rosita Brown, M.C.

Ms. Rosita Brown is a registered psychologist specializing in counselling and assessments. She is a Director of Consulting Psychology Associates and holds memberships with the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, the Mindfulness-Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Institute, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. She is trained and experienced in conducting intellectual, neuropsychological, and personality assessments and has evaluated individuals presenting with a variety of concerns (e.g., concussion, PTSD, and disability). Specific areas of assessment practice include working with Veterans and military members, as well as conducting Personal Injury and Independent Medical Evaluations.


In the area of treatment, Ms. Brown specializes in trauma, chronic pain, addictions, and insomnia. She has certifications in Mindfulness-Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MICBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI), and she is an experienced EMDR practitioner. She holds a certificate in Nutritional Psychology and has a general interest in health psychology, including the impact of lifestyle practices (e.g., mindfulness, sleep, and nutrition) on mental health. She has obtained both personal and clinical training in Vipassana, or “insight” meditation, a specific and effective form of mindfulness. Incorporating formal meditation techniques is an important and unique aspect of her counselling approach.
